A Joyful & Heartfelt Service Day with NorthPark Presbyterian Church & MPGC

MPower Girls Camp was thrilled to take part in NorthPark Presbyterian Church’s Service Day! An uplifting afternoon of generosity, creativity, and service.

Volunteers created hygiene kits, pet toys, celebratory signs, and holiday placemats. At the MPGC table, they also filled writing kits for our 2026 campers.

The most touching moment came from a group of girls who attended summer camp. They wrote supportive letters to next year’s first-time campers offering encouragement for that all-important first night away from home.

While writing, the girls joyfully reminisced about their own camp adventures, laughing as they remembered:

  • encountering a very large spider in a tent,

  • trying horseback riding, and

  • ⛺ camping outdoors in real tents for the first time.

These heartfelt and funny stories will reassure new campers that they are brave, capable, and part of a growing sisterhood of girls who have faced the same fears and discovered excitement on the other side.

A warm thank you to Kathryn, Elizabeth, Claire, Tessa, Anna, Lily Su, and Emerson for leading the MPGC table and filling the room with kindness and joy.

MPower Girls Camp is grateful to NorthPark Presbyterian Church for supporting our mission to empower underserved girls through transformative STEM and outdoor learning experiences.
